About me

I have over ten years experience teaching and tutoring from key stage one through to GCSE. I have always focused on supporting children with SEND needs and prioritise ensuing individual needs are met in a positive and encouraging manner.

As well as being a classroom teacher and providing 1:1 tuition to children with a range of SEND needs, including autism, ADHD and physical disabilities, I am a qualified specialist dyslexia tutor and assessor. I have previously worked as an assistant headteacher and special needs coordinator in a large primary school. I have extensive experience delivering individual interventions, classroom teaching, supporting families and colleagues with additional materials, delivering workshops for teachers and families and applying for EHCPs and other support. I have both applied for EHCPs as a school and I have supported parents to apply in a consultant role. I currently have a 100% success rate in all EHCP applications I have been involved with.

I have long term experience teaching children with dyslexia and have a large amount of knowledge on how to support them both in the classroom and at home. I have been delivering tuition for a number of years now, including specialist dyslexia teaching.
